TAIWAN 2012 ~ Day 2 ~

22nd of November - Thursday

Well, here we are at Day 2! :) Our bus headed off for Lugang early in the morning, and we reached there about noon. My mom, my aunt and I (of course!) did some shopping and after that, joined the others on a food-hunt. We kept a look out for famous Taiwanese snacks, and in the end, we got 'em! Oysters bathing in a pool of aromatic sauce, tiny shrimps fried to crispy perfection, grilled sausages, yam cakes, and last but not least, the REAL Taiwanese bubble tea. You can't possibly come all the way from Malaysia to Taiwan without trying their most famous bubble tea, can you!!? Anyway, after I successfully fished out a pretty floral bag and two leather clutches for a really good price (I forgot how much) from a random store I had stumbled upon, I knew I had to get back to the bus immediately - I was melting from head to toe, for God's sake! MELTING. Don't be surprised, because the temperature was well above 30°C, and they call it winter!!? = = Well, almost everyone fled to the bus for refuge after an hour or two of shopping under the scorching heat.  After that, all of us....well, just let the photos tell the story from here (= Lazy me!).

Having our lunch.

At E-Da Skylark Hotel.

I've always had a penchant for ferris wheels...

The best part of the hotel - you get to have a view like THIS.

E-Da's very own shopping mall.

This somehow reminds me of...Greek!?

Greek gods!!?

The last photo from Day 2

After our dinner, my mom, my aunt and I went shopping...again. Hey, there's nothing wrong with us shopping day and night, it's a girl thing; something men would never understand. heh* This time I bought two lovely charm bracelets for only 300 Taiwan dollars, which is merely RM30. Cheap eh!? One has an Eiffel Tower, which caught my sight even from a good 3-meter distance; the other has metallic leaves embedded with rhinestones. I wanted to shop for another hour when mom told me it was time to go back, so...the bracelets were the only catch I had for the night. disappointing much* :( Oh well, that's it for Day 2!
