Diary Of A Wimpy Teen ~ Chapter Eighteen ~
Sunday, December 23, 2012 @ 10:00 PM `°•.¸¸.•°` leave a comment ( 0 )

Hey guys, I wasn't actually planning on blogging today, but since I ain't got anything better to do, so here I am. :3 Anyway, I remembered telling you guys I was going to the 'Big Bad Wolf Sale' on Thursday, right!? Well, before going, I actually took the time to make a list of books I wanted to buy. LOL* Here goes the list:
1. Life Of Pi by Yann Martel
2. The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
3. One Day by David Nicholls
4. The Help by Kathryn Stockett
5. Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell
6. The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien
7. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
8. Lone Wolf by Jodi Picoult
9. A Thousand Names by Cecelia Ahern
10. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
11. State Of Wonder by Ann Patchett
12. Room by Emma Donoghue

That's about it, I guess. To most people, this may seem like some sort of nut job; but to bibliophiles, this is nothing more than having toasts for breakfast. So, a book lover like me going to the BIGGEST book sale in Malaysia - it's probably one of the best things in my miserably insignificant existence. ;) Dad took me there after lunch, and then we went separate ways: he headed off to the 'lifestyle' and 'arts' section, whilst I just simply walked past every 'young adult' section where the novels were piled up so high I was afraid one mountain of them would topple over my head and collapse on me. Thank God that didn't happen.

I guess I was so occupied with 'the search' that I didn't realize someone was calling me from behind, and guess whose eyes met mine - my friend, Xi Wen's, and her brother's. LOL* Well, we actually planned to meet there, so it didn't surprise me much. I was just impressed by their determination in finding me among the huge throngs of crowd. So the three of us set off on a hunt for BOOKS. After an hour or two of aimless walking, Xi Wen was becoming quite desperate 'cause she couldn't seem to find her precious 'Shopaholic' novels, her brother refused to give up on his search for 'The Lord Of The Rings' trilogy, and then there was me - exhausted, starving and disappointed. I couldn't find any of the books I wanted!! sobs* :'(

Long story short - I managed to get myself six books, yes, merely six; none of them are the books on my list, except for one, which is 'The Help'. Finally a little satisfaction! ^w^ I spent two whole hours rummaging through mountains of books, hoping to find one book, just one from my list...and my effort did pay off after all.
1. The Help by Kathryn Stockett
2. Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
3. When God Was A Rabbit by Sarah Winman
4. Summers Of The Sisterhood: Girls in Pants by Ann Brashares
5 The Gift by Cecelia Ahern
6. The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas

I'm currently reading 'The Help', you know, to get my life going a little - I haven't been the least bit of productive for the past two months. =w= I'm being really honest here guys. What I mostly do everyday: Wake up. Eat. Watch TV. Reblog pictures on Tumblr. Heart pictures on We Heart It. Eat. Take a nap. Wake up. Bathe. Watch TV. Reblog pictures on Tumblr. Heart pictures on We Heart It. Eat. Watch TV. Sleep. I do study a bit of Form 5 Physics which, as a matter of fact, seems like nut job to me. But I only do it on Thursday, a few hours before going to tuition, since our most respected and beloved Physics tuition teacher has intentionally made 'arrangements' for those who fail to answer his questions. It's actually more like a terrorist's time bomb than a pop-quiz, 'cause you never know when it's gonna be you, and you never know when your time's up; it goes off, and you die. =x= That's how it works. So after that horrible experience, I've learnt to play smart and avoid chairs as much as possible, if you know what I mean. ;)

Well, Christmas is just a few days away, which means I'll be thrust back into the hell-bound vessel I escaped from two months ago known as SCHOOL. sigh* Anyway, with Christmas drawing so near, there's no way I wouldn't be getting into the Christmas spirit. ^w^ So on Friday, I went to the 3R Christmas Party organized by my church's youth fellowship. I brought my phone along, but just couldn't seem to muster the enthusiasm to take any photos. Lazy me! :P All in all, the party was pretty awesome, the games were really fun, but the food...ummmm, the food was OK. No further comments on the food. :X

I was the usher that day, so I was technically planting my feet in a particular spot by the door, frequently ignored by the people who were coming in. I was supposed to give them all a warm, friendly smile and welcome them in, but they just walked past me as if I were invisible. =_= Or maybe I am. However, to prove myself NOT an anti-social freak, I had to make some new friends instead of just standing there, clinging to my good buddy, Mary and blocking everyone else out. And so, I did get to know some of the newcomers, especially those quieter ones. Quiet people have always been my favorite target, 'cause they usually look less hostile. ^^ Mary was also the quiet one when I first met her, and who knew we would be such good friends now. :) Oh, talking about Mary, I made her this before heading off to the party.

It's supposed to be her birthday present, but her birthday was last week...so yeah, a belated birthday present for an extraordinary friend. I hope you're reading this now, Mary. LOL* If you are, text me NOW!! XD Okay, back to the topic....wait, what's the topic again!? Oh right, Christmas. Well, Christmas just wouldn't do without Christmas presents, right?! ^0^v

 Christmas presents from daddy dearest.♥

Famous Amos' Christmas Special from Santa Gal - Lisa! ♥
I guess this post is long enough to end here, and to bring the sensation of sleepiness to your eyes. XP So, that’s all for today guys! Buh-bye, and have yourself a merry Christmas! :D
