♥안녕하세요♥
March 10, 2012 - Saturday
Yup, I've decided to do a list again, but this time, it won't be long, I PROMISE. :)
1. Woke up at 6.00a.m. again.....yawns*
2. Had breakfast
3. Went to Mount Sorak National Park and took tonnes of AWESOME photos!

Welcome to a Winter Wonderland guys! ^^

‘Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!’ Yup, it started snowing again, and this time, I got to witness it with my very own eyes, for the very first time! ^^v

4. Had a terrific lunch.
5. Went to Daegwallyeong Sheep Ranch and made our very own CHEESE - my favorite part of the day! :)

6. Then, we took a 2-minute walk to the sheep ranch, and this is what happened next:
    WE FED THEM!
7. Checked into Yong Pyong Ski Resort.
8. Had a rejuvenating dip at Yong Pyong Water Park.
I totally adored the indoor water park - it was beyond AWESOME. But....BUT, the sauna was...was beyond HORRIFYING. I almost died in there, and you wouldn't want to know why. Okay, fine, maybe you would want to know - NAKED WOMEN WERE EVERYWHERE. shrieking for help* And trust me, the sight of flabby tummies and pock-marked skin is not appetizing. AT ALL. But what was worse is that none of them realized their BARE-ness; they walked around as if there was nothing to be ashamed of, as if it was only NORMAL to be stripping in front of bewildered tourists like US.... Oh god, even the thought of it makes me feel like puking. eeeeek*
9. Had dinner at a nearby restaurant.
10. Dad went skiing, so the rest of us headed back to the resort.
The truth is, I was looking forward to ski with dad, but after a day at the sauna, I lost EVERYTHING - my enthusiasm, my anticipation, but most of all, I LOST MY EYES! what the?!*
11. But at least I still had some fun with my Instagram before going to bed at 12a.m.

 ♥ ♥ That’s all for Day 3! ♥ ♥

March 9, 2012 - Friday
Due to extreme laziness, I've decided to list down all the things we did on that day instead of writing a novel about them. teehee* Here goes:
1. Woke up at 6.00a.m. sharp.
2. Had breakfast at.....ummmm, I ain't got any idea what that place is called, but I do know it's something like China Town. Here's picture of it:
There you go! Now take a look at this street, it's scrupulously CLEAN, as if the Koreans here  have been spending most of their time digging in nooks and crannies for minuscule pieces of dirt.

3. Went to the Korean Traditional Culture Center and made our very own KIMCHI. ♥ ♥ ♥ But my kimchi turned out to be an epic failure. sniffs* And NO, I'm not planning to show you what kind of mess I made - it was a disaster on a plate! eeeeek*
Ingredients needed:
- 1 large Chinese cabbage
- 1 small head of garlic, peeled and finely minced
- 1 piece (6cm) of ginger, peeled and finely minced
- 1/4 cup (60ml) of fish sauce
- 1/3 cup (80ml) of chili paste or 1/2 cup (133ml) of Korean chili powder
- 2 green onions, cut them into 1-inch (3cm) each
- 1 Daikon radish, peeled and grated
- 1 teaspoon of honey or sugar
- 1/2 cup (100g) of coarse salt
- 1 gallon (4000ml) of water
   “Let’s make KIMCHI!”

4. After kimchi-making, we were dressed in these:
Oh man! My eyes were closed again.....God, I hate myself! :’( Anyway, that's my grandma, my sis, and me! I totally love the color of my Hanbok - it's GREEN. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

5. Had a taste-bud-tickling lunch. :)
Looks like a pot of putrid innards, doesn't it? But hey, don't judge a book by its cover (in this case - don't judge a food by its color). It's actually a combination of Korean hand-made rice cakes, marinated chicken strips and finely chopped cabbage tossed into my all-time favorite sauce - KIMCHI SAUCE.♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ This delectable dish is usually cooked on a giant hot plate, and that's me right there cooking up a storm...AND a gastronomic feast, not for the eyes, but for the hungry bellies.
Next stop on my list....
6. Took a 5-minute boat ride to Nami Island - the island where Winter Sonata was shot. Yes, that romantic Korean drama starring Bae Yong Jun and Choi Ji Woo. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
     Credits to me.
Credits to me.
  Credits to me, too!
Just ignore my ugly face people!
I know I look EXTREMELY HORRIBLE in this photo...sniffs*

Going on to number 6....
6. Had a piping hot dinner to burn down the freezers in our chests. You know what I mean......it was -18°c there. teeth chattering*
7. Checked into Sorak I-Park Resort.
8. Ate cup noodles for supper again.....tummy rumbling*
9. Went to bed earlier than usual - 11.30p.m.! Yes, that's really EARLY for me.

     That’s all for DAY 2!

March 8, 2012 - Thursday
So, this is how the day went - my mom dragged me out of bed at 8.30a.m. and talked me into having some breakfast before heading off to the airport. After gulping down a tuna sandwich, a piece of cake and a bowl of chocolate oatmeal, I packed anything that crossed my mind - ear muffs, leggings, scarves, woolen gloves, cottons tops; my winter coat, my strawberry-flavored lip balm, my lotion, my sketch pad, my notebook, and of course, my lucky drawing pen. Our driver arrived just on time, and off we went to the airport! anticipation ignited* The journey took about an hour, and so we reached there at 12.30p.m., which could only mean one thing - LUNCH TIME!!!! We clawed at our burgers like starved, caged brutes; wolfed down every last piece of our potato fries, and finished every last drop of our Coke. It was a simple meal of beef burgers and fries at McDonald's, yet it was absolutely satisfying, because after this, we would be flying to a whole new world - Korea! lots of love, smile* ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ We boarded our plane at 2.30p.m., and the rest of it......wasn't history, but BOREDOM. You ain't got any idea how boring it was, stuck in a three-seated 'cubicle' with a grown-up on each side and forced to put up with a 6-hour flight without any entertainment. It was like this:
Me: Dad, please give me your iPhone! Please....
Dad: Sorry, but your sister's still playing with it.
Me: ........sulking*
An hour later……
tick tock tick tock* I was beginning to lose my patience.....enough was ENOUGH.
Me: What about now, dad? Is she done yet?
Dad: Ermmm.....no, not yet, sorry.
Me: ..........still sulking*
2 hours later……
TICK TOCK TICK TOCK* I was about to explode......
Me: Dad......NOW????
Dad: .............
Me: Dad? Dad? DAD????
Dad: ZZZzzzz...........snoring heavily*
Me: ..........sulking hopelessly*
So when there was no TV, no iPhone,  there was only one thing left to do - doodling. I took refuge in it, with the help of my notebook and lucky drawing pen. It was my best weapon against boredom, always has been.

I even took pictures of my notebook and pencil case. what the hell* Hey, who can blame me? I was too bored! If you were in my shoes, you'd probably do the same thing - whenever boredom strikes, STRIKE BACK EVEN HARDER.

And so, after 6 bitter hours of waiting and waiting and waiting, we finally arrived at Incheon International Airport. I felt as if I had been liberated, set free.......I was no longer held captive by boredom, I was on the top of the world! applause* The time of our arrival was 8.30p.m., which could only mean one thing - DINNER TIME!!!! But, by the time we went through all the customs, time sped past 9 and rang the bell of 'Big 10'. That's when we first met our tour group and of course, our tour guide, Kelly. She was someone you wouldn't want to mess around with - a tiger mom, a lady who wears THE pants, but still, with a gentle side. I was too busy guessing her age that I totally forgot about how starving I was. All restaurants and stores were closed, all except for 7-Eleven. So, in the end, we were forced to buy cup noodles for dinner.....ummmm, I mean, supper.
As we made our way out of the airport, a gust of cold wind suddenly swept across our feet and pierced through our skin. In a blink of eye, we all became icicles - my dad was an ice sculpture, my mom was The Snow Queen, my grandma was frozen yogurt, my grandpa was peppermint ice-cream, my sister was iced sorbet on a stick, and I was Rudolph The Red-nosed Reindeer. Luckily, our bus arrived on time. I could barely feel my fingers by the time I got on the bus. It was freezing outside! brrrrrrr* We were on our way to Paradise Hotel when Kelly introduced us to our tour group leader/photographer, Louie. And guess what?! He was the exact epitome of Korea's heart-throb, Bae Yong Jun. heart palpitating ferociously* ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Hey, every girl can dream, right?!
                    Winter Sonata’s Bae Yong Jun
   ♥裴勇俊배용준♥

After what seemed like mere seconds, we arrived at Paradise Hotel - I do believe they named it 'Paradise' for a good reason. Anyway, we all turned in for the night after a rather pleasant meal of cup noodles. I've got to say, Korean cup noodles rock! They taste much better than Malaysia's, trust me, they really do! All in all, it had been an awesome day - a medley of beef burgers, boredom, sketches, Instagram, in-flight food, kimchi-flavored cup noodles, frozen fingers, and a drop-dead gorgeous tour group leader/photographer! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
That's all for Day 1!! :3

Diary Of A Wimpy Teen ~ Chapter Eight ~
Wednesday, March 7, 2012 @ 6:57 AM `°•.¸¸.•°` leave a comment ( 0 )
   ♥Jeoneun hangug eul salang♥
Annyeong hasaeyo! Yes, I'm speaking Korean, and yes, I'm recently obsessed with all things KOREAN-ey. Why? Because in less than 14 hours, I'll be heading off to KOREA!!!! Come on, say it with me, 'Jeoneun hangug eul salang'! ♥  ♥  ♥ It means 'I LOVE KOREA'! ♥  ♥  ♥ My friends are probably still studying for their physics paper tomorrow, and I'm here blogging away. THEY'RE GOING TO BE SO JEALOUS. Anyway, I sat for my chemistry paper today, and guess what happened?! I left the last part EMPTY. Absolutely EMPTY. The paper was extremely, extremely, EXTREMELY difficult. Most of us were squeezing out our brains and cursing under our breaths; some praying for a miracle, others just dozed off. All in all, the entire exam has been a disaster for me. I sat for my biology paper on Monday and it wasn't just bad, it was horribly gut-wrenching! sniffs* My math paper on Tuesday didn't go as well as I had expected - I left 4 questions empty. sobs* And as for today, THE WORST ONE YET. shrieks* :'(
My inner voice: Don't you dare ignore me! I'm your inner voice!
Me: So what?!
My inner voice: Listen girlfriend, look at the bright side - you'll be having the best time of your life in Korea while your friends are still stuck at home studying for the exam. It's actually a fair trade!
Me: Yeah, like I traded my A's for a trip to Korea?!
My inner voice: ... ... ... I give up*
Me: ... ... ... victory punches in the air*
Okay fine, sorry about that, my inner voice can be a total nuisance sometimes. But she's right - IT IS A FAIR TRADE. I've traded 4 of my A's for a 5-day-trip to Korea; my friends might have earned 4 more A's than I have, but they didn't earn a trip to one of the world's most fantastic countries. Bingo - I've earned it!  :) Thank you Inner Voice.
My inner voice: No problem.
Me: Well, I'm sorry that I called you a nuisance.....you've turned out to be quite okay after all. So, are we still cool?
My inner voice: Ermmm.....well yeah, I guess. But there's one problem though.....
Me: What? What is it?
My inner voice: Why are we even talking? You're talking to me, which means you're.....talking to yourself?!
Me: Really? I never even knew......
My inner voice: ... ... ... whoa, this girl's a real mental retard*
Anyway, I really do hope I'd get an A for English, it's like my only hope now. Without that A, I'd end up being THE LAST in class. Trust me, you wouldn't want to know, but here's a tip: it's worse than being sent into military school. Well, all I can do now is PRAY. Dear Heavenly Father, please give an A for English! I really, really, REALLY need it! Please hear my prayer. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen. And....OH. MY. GOSH. Look at the time, it's 2am already! I better get into bed now, unless I don't mind missing all the fun tomorrow. I promise I'll blog about my trip once I get back from Korea, so I guess it's another farewell, huh?! Don't worry, I'll be back in 5 days, see you folks! :)
